The Love Story Of:
Roy & Sarah
EASTBROOKEND COUNTRY PARK
There are some love stories that feel especially close to home — and this is one of them.
Roy is my brother, so I’ve had the privilege of witnessing Roy and Sarah's relationship unfold from the very beginning. From long late-night FaceTime calls to the day he moved out of our family home to start a new chapter with Sarah, I’ve seen their love grow in the quiet, ordinary moments that truly matter.
Photographing them felt deeply personal — not just as a photographer, but as someone who knows their journey.
Our session at Eastbrookend Country Park was a little adventure in itself. With wedding preparations in full swing and schedules tightly packed, we found ourselves racing against the fading light. But in between the rush, there were moments of stillness — the way they instinctively reached for each other, the laughter that came so easily, the comfort they carry when they stand side by side.
It was their first professional photoshoot, yet nothing felt forced.
Some love stories don’t need direction — they simply need to be witnessed.
The WEdding Day - Woodlands House
Roy and Sarah were married at Woodland House, and for me, the day carried a dual role — I was both their photographer and the groom’s sister. It was emotional in ways I hadn’t quite prepared for. Their ceremony was intimate and heartfelt. And their colour palette — soft shades of lavender and grey — symbolised something meaningful to them: the importance of loving yourself as you love another.
The celebration continued at the Brenda Blakemore Centre, where the atmosphere shifted into something vibrant and joy-filled. As proud Filipinos with a shared love for gaming, their reception was a true reflection of their personalities. It wouldn’t have been complete without lively Filipino party games — guests quickly revealed their competitive sides, all in good fun, competing for prizes chosen with intention and meaning.
It was a day that held tenderness, culture, laughter, and family — the kind of wedding that feels deeply personal from beginning to end.
